FAQs

Studio

What Covid-19 precautions are you taking?

  • We have a brand new Medify Air purification system.

  • Studio windows will remain open (weather permitting).

  • Clients will bring their own towels and pre-filled water bottles.

  • Shoes are not worn in the studio and must be removed upon entry. All current in-studio classes require grippy socks.

  • All high touchpoints, such as barres and doorknobs, will be sanitized throughout the day. Props and weights are wiped down after every class.

  • Bathrooms are provided and shared by the other 4th floor tenants. They can be accessed only with a code and are cleaned regularly.

Should I arrive early?

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before in-studio classes to avoid overcrowding. You’ll have plenty of time to get settled before class begins.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We are unable to take any walk-ins. Please register before attending any class.

Are there showers/changing rooms?

Unfortunately there are not. We will have toiletries such as cleansing wipes and hair ties stocked for the women on the go. You should check out Amber’s tips on post-workout hair and makeup. Really, we think that glow looks good on you.

What is the nearest transportation?

We’re just blocks from the 9th street Light Rail stop in Hoboken and the 126 NJT bus stop on 15th and Willow.

Yes, and our members love them! Check out our membership page for more details.

What’s your refund + late cancel policy?

We get it, things happen. However, late cancels and no shows will no longer be graced unless under emergency situations. This policy is to help ease waitlists and ensure all clients who can come have a chance to get in. Our Late Cancel window is 6 hours prior to class start.

Non Member: Late Cancel or No Show > class will be deducted from package

Member: Late Cancel > $5 fee / No Show > $10 fee

Purchased packages and Memberships are non refundable.

I had an issue with my order. Who should I contact?

We’re so sorry you had difficulties! Please contact us anytime for assistance with purchasing at hello@messmethod.com.

Virtual

I can’t make class. When will I get the recording?

You’ll receive the link to view the class recording shortly after the virtual class ends. The replay will be available for 24 hours after the class.

Do I need to have my camera on?

Nope! We get it that sometimes you want to be in your own private space. With that said, we also love to see you and can give form feedback and specific guidance to clients that opt to MESS with their screen on.

What’s the difference between virtual classes and the On Demand Library?

Virtual classes stream live for those who enjoy the accountability and energy of working out with others. These classes also have the “replay” option available for 24 hours. The On Demand Library is a collection of full-length classes and shorter, focused workouts that are accessible at any time.

Preparing For Class

What should I wear?

We recommend breathable exercise apparel that you’re comfortable moving in. Most clients prefer to wear leggings with a sports bra and tank. Grippy socks are mandatory for all classes and available for purchase in studio.

I haven’t done a class like this before. What can I do to be best prepared?

We’re excited for you to join us! All of our classes are customizable for all levels of fitness.

We highly recommend you inform your teacher of any injuries or if you’re pregnant prior to class starting, so s/he can help you modify accordingly.

Do I need to bring anything to class?

A water fountain is available outside of the studio, but it’s recommended that you bring your own water bottle pre-filled. All recommended equipment for at home classes are listed on our Classes page.

Can I take class if I’m pregnant?

Congratulations! Yes, Mama, our classes can be modified for pregnancy, although we do highly suggest you be cleared by your doctor for exercise first.  Be sure to inform your teacher about your pregnancy and remember to listen to your body at all times.
